I was quite impressed at the quality of the image I got out of my Canon Ixus 500 when I saw this snap I took of some interesting leaves by the Birmingham and Worcester canal.


This is reduced to nearly a third of it's original size, but otherwise completely untouched.

Hope you didn't touch those leaves Bonce, they have a fungie called 'Spectatis Digestis' and it can be highly poisenous.

I like leaves too. Nice pic, but you need to work on JPG compression

Simpo: Yeah sorry about that, I didn't actually resave the image, the service that hosts that particular photograph did so the compression isn't as good as it could be.

It is when you consider that the 500 is in the sub £250 bracket now.

Quite a bit of manual control available and in a nice metal case. I'll be buying a 500 soon.

Talking of which, anyone selling an Olympus e20 let me know.
