George and Carbon fibre
Discussion
As many of you know George29 can get a little opinionated, never more so than when it comes to carbon fibre. So, will be interesting to see how he justifies spending £800.00 on one of these.

Now a top of the range helmet from someone like Arai costs £4-500.00, including some fancy paint job. £800.00 just because its carbon fibre!
George - only having a bit of fun, saw the posts in Bike Banter, but look forward to your erudite and witty justifications!

Really? What about lightness and impact strength? My full face mountain bike lid from my Yeti days is full carbon
Oi, this is a take the piss out of George thread, not why is carbon a good idea for helmet thread!

Anyway, most motorcycle helmets, including top end ones don't use carbon.
Arai are well known for 'testing' their non carbon fibre helmets at 220mph!

That's a really cool looking helmet but I'm not sure I could justify the £800 price tag.
You only get one head. No price is too much, even for Georgie's thick bonce
So where does the dick go?

Its still made of carbon. No justification for carbon in a helmet
Having tried one on, there is as its much lighter. Don't know about strength but I'm sure it's not going to be any worse than fibreglass is it?
CF seems a great material to make a strong light lid from.
Heavy helmets are only popular in certain circles.
