Hi folks

I have been noticing that my left drive shaft (wheel) side is spraying grease inside the rim and on the hub and wishbones.
I wonder if this is the rubber or if the grease material finds its way between driveshaft and wheel hub bearing ?

If this is a new drive shaft you can sometimes get the CV joint that has been over filled. the excess then is forced out and unfortunately makes a bit of a mess. If this is a drive shaft that has been on the car a while, then probably a split rubber gaiter.

i have checked the rubber shortly, and yes could be overfilling, I have not been looking
at it for a long time. Will let you know. the other side is completely dry and clean.

I use a smear of gasket sealant when assembling the driveshaft to the hub and transmission.

This prevents any grease leak.

Thanks for the tip. I will certainly also do that when I get to that stage.
