My new 964. Back to air-cooled.

It has been a while! 8 years after my first 911 I have returned after a foray around other marques which proved expensive but everyone had a fun ride..and I am really chuffed with my new 964.
Traded a Boxster with which I did not gel and took delivery of a beautiful C2 Targa Tip earlier in the week
I think she needs lowering at the front and Tognola will be sorting the exhaust note (happy with g pipe and drilled box in my old 964) and I will be a very happy boy. The car has some extra's that I haven't seen previously (was originally a dealer demo) to include heated seats and a pleasingly retro "on board" computer which does exactly what my 2005 987's did-progress! Anyone know what option 330 is? oh, and I dig the tip! It certainly suits the car for tooling around London and I'm enjoying learning how to use it.

no doubt you will make a number of changes over time but just enjoy adding a few miles for now...

It was available as an option on all models and standard on the turbo. It's also easy to retrofit as the required plugs are tied to the loom behind the clocks. However the tachs with the OBC are KMH and MPH specific so it's important to buy the right one.Thanks guys. Just had a shake-down drive and you just cant help but feel the quality of these cars compared to the newer stuff imho. Starting from the sound of the door mechanism, only car I've known with similar quality feel was my R107 SL's. I don't recall my previous 964 feeling so "heavy" on the move but I think it's just getting used to the feel after the Boxster. Never thought i'd be in a Targa with Tip but I think a car in this condition, coupe with manual would be £20k + and i'm not happy with those numbers at the moment. Anyhow I think the Targa has aged particularly well and the Tip works quite well, particularly when you mash the throttle and she kicks down 2 gears. Looking forward to some roof off action at the weekend, happy days!
not sure 964 came in that flavour (c4 targa tip), re the tip, car was bought over the phone subject to my trying the car (never driven tip previously) and within a short test drive I realised that imo it works fine and even, dare I say it, suits the car! welcome to try mine (I am in ealing)
