Boxster 968 sudden failure

Hi

Wife just went to shop in car, when she came to start the car after 10 min it made a chain catching noise, i went to have a look, when i tried it turned over slower than usual with a weird noise.

Oil level ok

No signs of leaks

Awaiting RAC support

Any ideas, i know its a long shot

IMS or otherwise, you certainly don't want to start it again. Get it trailered to a decent M96 engine specialist like RPM Technic, Autofarm or Hartech.

IMS is attached to a chain. In any event it's best not to turn it over and risk more damage.
