Proud New Owner

Sold my Turbo today, but had to get a final pic with the new owner.
Great lad and absolutely made up with his purchase, his face tells it all.
This got me thinking about all the times I have bought my 911's over the years, it really is one of the best things you do in life. Mind you he got a great car at a good price with a peter morgan inspection to prove. Hope he enjoys it.

Well I've had 3 996's now 2 x turbo's and a GT2, all phenominal cars with epic performance/handling and grin factor.
So now I've done the daft mph performance thingy I have decided to go back to a little more reserved in the performance stakes albeit not subdued in presence and noise, yes back to an Impact Bumper car, which is still fun at low speeds and on the twisties, picking her up next week & can't bloody wait

I saw the 4Star car on their website a few days ago and thought that it sounded like a good car, particularly with the docs to back up the mileage and recent engine work.

What work did it need doing as they said it was immaculate other than some stone chips ?

Hi spy car is mint but not up to crimp standard. The bumpers need a strip and full refurbd apart from that great example and a wise purchase given the fact that that there are not many nice ones left mate

Yes the "advertised" price does seem high doesn't it.
Problem is there's some even higher, looked at one at 30k lower miles but same condition and there is a Black one I was interested in but that was 33k.
Obviously there are cheaper ones out there but you need to be careful I've the experience to know that there is so many basket cases too but to be honest if you look how many G50 late 3.2 coupes are there for sale as we speak, not many.
I've always purchased wisely, in other words the high end of the value scale knowing I don't have to shell out for paint/mechanics etc, the values will also only go one way anyway with the IB cars.

Hi Ed! It was a pleasure to meet you - and thanks for the car - it oozes quality and is very (very!) fast. The new car looks very tidy indeed.

Ive been perusing and researching pistonhead threads for a very long time, but this is my fist post. The Turbo is truly the stuff of dreams for me and im looking forward to years of tinkering and bantering about it (as well as very regular weekend blasts).

My car history is:
alfa 145 cloverleaf
mini cooper s
honda s2000
bmw z4 coupe
987 boxster s (with sprint booster and 997 short shift - may well install these in the turbo)
and now....
996 Turbo

Im lucky that my wife is a petrol head! We are expecting our first child in 12 weeks and this will be an occasional family car (maxi cosy pebble and quinny zap buggy on order thank to this forum!).

I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine.

Well done, great cars and it sounds like the gene pool is going to produce a new Petrolhead, and long may it continue.

My daughter & husband are both petrolheads and just about to produce their first offspring, so the future's looking good, god, this wine's good

Not just me then, I had the wife take a picture of me being given the key to my Porsche in 07.
Its still magic that day for me, often look at the picture.
Next one when I let my son have my Porsche.
