thanks for the replies, i wouldnt be buying it for scrap, it would be a restoration - resell, ive put the word out on the fiat owners club, according to howmanyleft.com theres only a handfull of these left, i have also approached the fiat museum, must be a way of making some money from it haha

I first used it when asked by a prospect to value his 7 yr old Iveco as a part exchange against a new Scania when I was selling those in the early 90's and quite how I kept a straight face or didn't get punched out I don't know. However he did see the humour in it and said that he would sell it himself.

But did he buy your Scania?....Allan

Going on the description, it must be worth a fortune. I mean, if the words "barn find" are included in the advert it is guaranteed to multiply the price tenfold. That E-type find that sold recently; a friend went up to £25,000 for the rusty wreck (it had been in a garage for 30 years) before it went to auction and fetched north of £100,000.
My dad bought two of these new as company cars, both diesels (one turbo, one non). I do remember that the turbo felt quite quick by 1987 standards. The other one was full of rot from new where it had been stored outside before finally being sold. The non-turbo was particularly horrible to drive.
I'm sorry, but for me, not even the most rose-tinted nostalgia would make me want to go near one again.

What are you asking? How much you ought to pay for it or whether anyone here is interested in buying it from you so you can make a quick buck?Just a quick one, I am able to get my hands on a 1987 Fiat Regata, one owner from new and its only done 6000 miles, still taxed and m.o.t'd I know these are rare, very rare, but just wondering if there would be much intrerest in it if i did buy it, what it might be worth, ect ect
