This is the first weekend with my 2004 JCW and I have been through my owners manual to try to work out how to get a clock operating on one of the displays. Nope, not going to happen. It would appear that there should be a clock above the rear view mirror, instead I have 2 map lights. I can't believe someone has driven my car for 9 years without a clock in the car. I also can't believe a car can be manufactured without a clock. I've had the car less than a week and it's irritating me to death.

Oh well £10 from Ebay should sort the problem. I just can't believe this is something I need to do.

The clock is in the roof for pre-facelift models and in the speedo on post-facelift models.

I've not heard of a car without a clock though!

Not sure about the earlier model, but on my 07 model it is on the speedo/radio display, and you can also have it on the rev counter display if you press the end of the indicator column.

Cheers - problem solved. It was in the speedo - my car was set to display the trip computer. A few presses of the trip button and it's now showing the clock.

Surprised you didn't do that sooner, when I first picked mine up I was fiddling with anything that could be slid, pressed or twisted smile
