Cheap, fun, motorsport in your road car July 14th!!!
Discussion
My car club has organised a grass slalom next Sunday near Ringwood. These are brilliant fun for beginners and experts alike. Any car can be used so long as it is not 4WD and doesn't use knobbly/offroad tyres. Some people use their everyday road car, some MOT failures and a few use rally cars. Last time I entered in my Chimaera and loved it...

It costs £20 to enter, plus membership to the car club. The event consist of driving around markers in a field following a set route (which alters each round) against the clock. There is no reversing. It is a bit like a large autotest. Let me know if you have any questions, more details and an application form can be found here (nb the photo is of autocross for some reason but this event has only one car on the route at once so very limited opportunity to damage the car - even my tyres were unaffected last year and I wasn't taking it easy!)I'm told the field is pretty flat too and since my Chimaera is fitted with very firm race suspension I guess most cars could take part...

Hope to see you there, NB you do need to enter in advance.
