Hi chaps.Any help with this one please?

Had the battery light on permanent permanent for a few days. Its been charged every night so been ok.It finally gave up after a long run yesterday & wouldnt start.

When you tried to srart it the headlights & hazzards came on each time of their own accord.Windows wouldnt go up & doors wouldnt open.

Its been on charge all night
Now it will start but no doors or windows
Also the battery light that was on permanently has now gone out.?

I didn't have the charge light on, but the haywire lights and uninterested windows were symptoms I had all at once with big fuse and weak battery. A good charge, disconnect and reconnect of battery and a new 100A midifuse sorted it all completely.

Big fuse
Alternator
Exciter signal to diode pack on alternator

Would be my guesses. Your religious charging has helped keep you battery topped up. The engine doesn't use that much juice but use your headlights and the electrons will quickly dissappear.

Its a brand new batrery but struggling like mad to get the battery out.How they got it in is beyond me.It must be the wrong size.I cant get to the negative terminal as it is so wedged under the bodywork.Cant undo the bolts on the clamp & cannot push it far enough back to lift up over the clamp either. Its back on charge with windows and doors working again but cannot disconnect the battery to change the big fuse.

Got there eventually and the big fuse was indeed fried.
