Did 50 odd miles with the club this morning/this afternoon, Garmin is reporting average temp of 82F. Warm!

Anyone else been out?

I thought better of cycling to work today. Kinda regretting it but at the same time, I just know I've saved myself some likely sunstroke.

Yup! Making the most of the weather, as I'd regret it otherwise come the dark, wet and wind of winter!

Was out for 0800 to be back in before it got too hot... legs felt like lead today but it was the first ride in a while and it was nice and quiet on the roads. Despite this, for some reason I decided on a route that took in some of the bigger hills in South Bristol?!?!?

I did the Pennine X MTB challenge, 30 miles up and down Saddleworth Moor, bloody hard work.

Yup, did a quick 54 miles today and 'twas very hot/humid and actually bloody windy! When it is this hot I find it tends to zap my energy rather than give me the legs to go harder/faster - had planned on pushing myself today but decided against it!

A very, very quick play to and around a local disused quarry, had done about 6 miles when I stopped for a drink. No bottle in bag. School girl error. Headed for home via rip-off shop for water as I knew I could wheel he bike in with me. (No lock)

Went out yesterday morning before it got too hot. I would have gone out today but my bike is back at the LBS for the last attempt at finding and fixing a creak.

4 hours playing in the woods today, glad to be in the trees when it was 'only' 27c, phew.

Still, no complaints, went out at 8am, only quit when I ran out of fluids. Came home, spent 2 hours melting slaving over the BBQ, ruined ha ha.

Only did 35 or so miles and it was tough. I like to keep my heart rate below a certain level or I know I'll blow up but just couldn't maintain my usual pace without going in the red...I hope it's not this hot for the London 100.

Ditchling Beacon and back for 105 miles. Jersey was crusted in salt and I was sporadically retching for the last 5 miles.

Lesson learned again. Go Easy on a hot day, not that my Hard is fast. Also don't forget the salt tablets, Doh!

Had a cold bath when I got home. Stayed in it for half an hour. Bliss smile

All for charidee but I don't like to talk about it.

Did a 60 mile Sportive yesterday, said the average temp was 77 degrees, although we did set off at 8am! Quite a few 20%s in the mix meant cramp for a good portion of it. Likely through lack of training (i've dropped off these last couple of months) and not being acclimatised to the heat.
