I know this is probably the wrong place to ask this but...
Feeling the need to change the Chim. It needs nothing doing and is in my humble opinion one of the best out there, but after a year (a record for my wife and I), I am feeling the need to change it. It's advertised but I am in no hurry as it is a third car for us.
Who has changed from a 5.0 Chim or Griff on here (outside of TVR), and what did you swap to?
MUST be manual, convertible, sub 6 to 60, sub 40,000 miles, and no more than 25k..
Ideas on a postcard.

not quite the same but I went from a 400 Chim to a Speed 6 cerb. Didnt really gel with the Cerb so moved onto an Esprit Turbo.
Love the Esprit but not as special as the Chim, bought an old 911 Carrera cab(air cooled). Loved both cars but a friends lovely Chim came up fo sale so I bought that also.
Now selling the 911 and Esprit, been looking towards an AM DB9 V12. Lovely car but couldnt justify the outlay against a Porsche 996/997 with the GT3 bodykit for half the money.
Been looking at both and now probably going to get the 996 GT3 replica and spend the change on something else (maybe a nice 60's Mustang). Not really interested in the 996/997 turbo as I wont use it to half its potential and I need the rear seats so a real GT3 isnt much use to me even though I could afford one.
Was also looking at a F355 but same reason as above - is it honestly worth double/ treble a decent 996/997? and the lack of rear seats is an issue.
I am keeping the Chimaera too - its difficult as the TVR is so much car for the money. So in response to your above I would say maybe a Tuscan or something completely different otherwise you'll always compare. Maybe an AMG Merc or something of that ilk. A 996/997 convertible is well within budget and you can get a decent hardtop too.

You ought to consider an S then, as point to point cars go they are pretty awesome, and even better VFM than a Chim...slippery said:

Make sure you buy a red 5.0 with under 40k on the clock and a full Fernhurst history

We have had a standard 3.0 Z4, did like it, but looking dated now.
Have had both an Elise and an Exige, so not really wanting to repeat myself there - too many cars we havent had before!
Like the idea of an SL55 or and SLK55. As you say, shame no manual, but still good fun and sound great.
SL55 worries me, a friend has one and it has cost a fortune (rusty inner wings, electrics, exhaust etc).
