First CCPM hover today.
Discussion
I've been flying my Msr x for a year or so now. Can happily zip around the front room/garden/field without crashing if flying sensibly, but with the odd small crash if I get carried away.
Received a blade 450 3d for my birthday. But as a bind n fly, as I already had the dx6i. This meant I had no settings for my transmitter. It has sat for a few weeks as I have been too busy. A few days ago I found the settings sheet for it on the internet. I put them all into the tx, disconnected the motor wires, and bound the radios. Everything worked as it should. Today I took my opportunity to use my mothers garden for a small hover. Managed 5 small, 40 odd second, controlled hovers. No training gear. Quit whilst I was ahead, so I can still fly it, and not have a broken heli I need to fix before I can fly it again.
Im rather chuffed with myself, as I've built up a large fear of ccpm, after lots of research whilst flying my smaller helis. But I managed to hover this thing half competently. I dont think I'll be attempting 3d anytime soon, but I can see curcuits coming on fast after some more tail in, and nose in hovering.
Thought id share this, as I feel the smaller 4ch helis are a great stepping stone. Ive never touched a flight sim, and managed 5 training gearless hovers on my first day flying ccpm.
Can't wait to get it in the air again.
