Tunning Chips 3.6TDV8
Discussion
I'd echo what you say and confirm that JE Engineering are great at what they do and are well respected amongst the RR enthusiasts. They are however quite expensive but I suppose you pay for what you get.
I've just had the Superchips Bluefin fitted today and it has made a massive difference to the performance of my TDV8. It pulls like a train and overtaking is effortless. On the motorway, you get up to speed very, very quickly. I paid £365 at a specialist in Stockport who is an authorised Superchips agent. They did it all within 20 minutes. You are also given the Blufin module and can return the map to stock at any time.

Tempted to do this on my TDV8 too. Hows it going after a few month of use? Any downsides? I still have warranty on mine ('07 with 55k miles) and issues with any future warranty claims are my main concern.I've just had the Superchips Bluefin fitted today and it has made a massive difference to the performance of my TDV8. I do like th eperforance gains claimed by the Bluefin though. Have you got and dyno figures? Does it still feel notably quicker?
Still really happy with the remap. Feels fast off the line but it's the mid range power which is amazing. It's very enjoyable to drive on the motorway and overtaking is done with consummate ease. Ultimately, the RR is a very heavy vehicle but having the remap makes it feel as though the engine is struggling less to get the car going if you know what I mean.
What warranty do you have with the car. Is it an official LR one? The Bluefin remap comes with a hand held unit where you can reload the original map back onto the vehicle which will make it less easily detectable.

Cheers fella. I saw that the handset can be used to re-install the default map, but I've also heard that its still possible for it to be detected afterwards.
Currently I'm paying for a Landrover Warranty on their '£75 a month for 10 month jobbie'. However, I've only made one claim for a Exhaust Gas sensor so far in the 2.5yrs I've had the car. Its been pretty reliable. Saying that, the battery light warning light came on today so that's probably a new battery or alternator....wont be covered by the warranty anyway.
I'll probably ditch the warranty when it comes to the end of the year then, and get the Bluefin installed.
Our sole Landrover dealership on the Isle of Wight has just closed anyway, so any issues I had under Warranty will involve a ferry journey to Portsmouth!...makes sense to not bother extending it really.
Hopefully the extra performance from the chip will tide me over till I can stretch to a new shape RRS!
Thanks again for the update.

Talk to Paul Austin at Austec Racing in Crawley - 01293 531080.
he will sort you out - he can give you 20% better economy with the same performance or 20% better performance with the same economy for 300 quid.

I had my 07 TDV8 mapped at Austec 2months. Now, much better throttle response if required, and up to 38mpg if you stick to 55 on the motorway, 35mpg at 60
