Wales trip!!!! Finally done it !

So I have finally managed to do the Wales trip I keep reading about on here and have wanted to do since getting the Turbo. We went last Tuesday and stayed there until Friday, and have to say what an utterly amazing place it is, the scenery and roads just phenomenal.
We drove up from Essex, taking around 8 hours with stops, through the heart of Snowdonia to Beddgelert, a very pretty little village nestled under the shadow of the mountains. There are so many B&B's round this area, highly recommended staying round here, beautiful setting. Anyway the roads....amazing, the way in were some long sweeping, endless roads through totally deserted, desolate sweeping hills, fringed by mountains, most of the time we didn't see another car, and this was the same for most of the time there, the roads were totally quiet, maybe it's due to being in the week and before the kids holidays, but we were spoilt and had the roads all to ourselves to play with.
I also didn't see one speed camera, although I was keeping within limits, but heard stories of hidden cameras in horse boxes and work vans, saw none, maybe due to the rods being so empty? To be honest I don't think you need crazy speeds on these roads anyway, low gears, high revs, engine howling through the mountains, amazing.
So we drove the EVO triangle and also the Llanberis Pass, which I actually thought was much better, largely due to the mountain scenery.
THe 996 Turbo proved to be a great car for the job, epic motorway GT style cruising in comfort, then a snarling beast of the twisties once we got there, agile and nimble round hairpins, then warp speed acceleration out of the corners, car never missed a beat once, although guzzled fuel insanely, I think the Shell Garage thought I was mad, topping up with fuel everyday!
Absolutely loved it, definitely recommend it to anyone thinking, just go and drive those roads, incredible!
