HELP! Alarm churping away now!!
Discussion
I've got a very loud chirping noise coming from my car every 10 seconds or so. My key fob will not disable the alarm!
It appears that my eldest son has fiddled with the interior light in the back and it has been left on since yesterday. I suspect the battery is very nearly flat and hence my problem.
Advice please. I suspect I need to get in the 'secret way' (can someone mail me through my profile?), but once I'm in how do I disable the alarm and stop this noise?
Any help would be much appreciated before the neighbours start to hunt me down!
Cheers

Update - I think I've managed to turn the alarm off by pressing the fob about 2 inches away from the back window, so at least the noise has stopped!
Battery (I think) is completely flat as I can't get in through the doors, so if someone can mail me the entry route I'd be most grateful.
Cheers

Thanks John for your help last night. I was in the car in just a few minutes.
I now have a completely flat battery and a battery charger (6 amp). I've read loads of old threads on charging etc and it seems clear that I can charge the battery whilst it's connected to the car (because I have a low power charger) and I will have to re-sync the alarm at some point.
Does anyone know at what point I will need to re-sync the alarm? Is it when I start charging the battery or will I need to disconnect the battery to enable the re-sync process?
Thanks in advance
Jon

Glad to hear you got in ok Jon
I must admit i went out and purchased a heavy duty charger but then read the threads on charging, output, disconnecting battery, etc, etc.
In the end I plugged in my Levens trickle charge through the ciggie lighter and left it for a few days, as I took out fuse # 3 the alarm did not kick in again.
When I unplugged it started ok and the alarm was unaffected (did not require re-sync), presume cos i did not disconnect the battery. Plugged the fuse back in and hey presto. Whether or not the trickle charge did/will bring battery upto full capacity, dont know so just continually use trickle feed now during the week when not used.
Good luck John.s

I've now started the battery recharging and attempted to do the alarm reset immediately, that didn't work! So I stopped charging and then waited for the alarm LED to go off and then tried again (4 times in total), never got it to work!
Anyway I'm going to let the battery recharge overnight and then disconnect the battery tomorrow and try the reset then.
Thanks for the advice on the doors, I was prepared for this and as the drivers door would not shut it appeared to maker sense. However, even after resetting the door control box, it still wouldn't shut. Eventually found that the 'pull cable' I had used to open the door was still 'pulled out' so to speak. Pushed him back in his hole and now the doors shuts (and opens!)
Thanks all for your help, don't suppose you've got any other ideas for resetting the damn alarm....
