Crazy price for a car that you have not specced yourself. I would expect a price nearer £150K, but hey I obviously know nothing about prices of limited number cars that have not sold out as we were led to believe wink

Interesting stuff

In it's favour, it's been specced 'with care' - red stitch to match the red callipers, sensible mix of colours etc, the v expensive B&O plus a few of the other essentials - it's only real downside is the lack of lightweights to those for whom it's important. Also has an unusual close to unique feature in having CF upper centre console but graphite (rather than piano black) lower console

It looks like a customer car, but with incredibly low miles which again is unusual

I don't think any/many of the factory/dealer specced cars are still for sale other than possibly one of the factory demonstrators with much bigger miles on the clock

So whilst along with the rest of the posters, I'd be surprised if it's capable of selling at the asking price, there won't be many alternatives available now if you want a V12VR and it's got few if any -ves unless you want lightweights

What will be interesting is in say 6 months time, when any last remaining vehicles have been sold, to see what happens to prices. I see incredibly few of the 35 or so UK RHD vehicles coming up for sale with any kind of regularity, as so many have been bought by long term owner/keeper/'users' of the car, so hopefully (for us owners) supply/demand factors will kick in

Hopefully in turn that means having a few miles on the clock won't be a major disadvantage as there shouldn't be too many garage queens with ultra low miles

Yes it is, I've spoken to them now about it - got a call offering me a Gaydon tour this week so I asked then.

Dealer supplied car from new to the customer's spec, now being sold for genuine reasons.

I seriously doubt that, when the V12VSR is released these will surely tank?

I couldn't care less what happens to values because I'm keeping mine but if it is the last of the line V12 manuals I think the original statement may just hold water. I'm also surprised no speculator' cars have appeared. I

I'm sorry but don't speculators generally buy cars that will make them a quick profit as opposed to a limited run of 101 that the manufacturer have struggled to sell confused

Speculators don't get it right everytime (MP4-C) and I would have thought a limited run would make it even more attractive? JMO of course .

Apparently 42 of the 101 cars are in the UK so in my view even if AML did produce the V12VSR there are not going to be many of this version come available so hardly think they will 'tank'. I know 6 owners who all, like me, bought their car as a keeper. Some will come on the market but very few. As they say time will tell but it would not surprise me at all that residuals stand up very well against other Astons. For me the current value has little meaning - I already have 4k miles on the car and enjoying every minute. Just increased my mileage allowance to make sure she doesn't get left in the garage.

What's a 'non-genuine' reason for comparison..?

I always wonder the same when I see that in an advert...usually its an excuse like:

unforeseen circumstances
child on the way
starting a new business
redundancy

have you ever read an honest ad where it says the real reason like:

"im just fed up of the car, it didn't meet my expectations so im getting the other car I should have bought in the first place"

or

"I over stretched myself on the finance to get my dream car, now the final payment is due on the PCP, I've got no cash in the car or bank and have to give it back"

still cant imagine what "non genuine" would be though ....."ex hire car, stolen recovered, cat C write off for sale" maybe ?

And the reason there are no speculators cars are because they know all about AML residuals. I am not wishing your cars to "tank" but it seems every time there is a thread about this absolutey stunning machine it always ends up banging on about future values.

Brilliant that you are using the car yes - so why mention values at all confused

I was told that the reason was the owner (who had carefully specced the car from new) was a really tall chap and despite his initial thoughts that he would be ok, just couldnt comfortably use the clutch due to his leg length & seat position and after just a couple of months had now decided to sell. It did make me wonder why he didn't spec lightwight seats if he needed the extra legroom, but then a lot of people try them once (or see the lack of rake adjustment) and assume they are going to be uncomfortable.

The car is now on sale or return through the supplying dealership - which perhaps explains the "list" price.

FWIW the term "genuine" was something I used to avoid needing to get into details as I only had a few moments to post here at that time.
