Frozen prawns/shrimp

Slightly off topic, but my koi have taken a liking to prawns. I've been getting the value ones from sainsburys/morrisons etc but was wondering if there was a cheaper way to buy in bulk. I've seen http://www.frozenfishdirect.co.uk/buy/prawn-11101-... but they don't seem much cheaper per kg than the supermarkets. Don't know if anyone knows of a good cheap bulk place?

Not near a wing yip unfortunately, although I did notice they seemed to have a whole freezer aisle for prawns last time I was there!

Yup that was what I got at the weekend. Was wondering if there was somewhere where 5kg+ could be got cheaper. The koi will easily eat a 250g bag in one go!

Don't know, but given they are fish and would normally eat live prawns/shrimp I guess they would. Could be raw too.

I love prawns too!
Is it possible to get scraps from your fishmonger?
Will the Koi eat them now they're used to good stuff?

If you state that the prawns are not going to be used for human consumption you might be able to get a deal from somewhere.
