about to spray my spare alloys. . .what primer ?

having cleaned up an old set of alloys for my Lupo, i want to refurb them and have some silver cellulose kicking about. . .however, although i have primer, am i right in saying i will be better of using a primer specific for alluminium alloy or can i get away with basic high build primer as used for the panels ??

If you've taken them back to bare alloy anywhere you will need acid etch primer. You can then use high build, base coat and suitable clear. Without the acid etch any paint you apply will not adhere and will be short lived.
