unable to post pics

Right chaps,help needed from a thickie,I have recently purchased a new camera took loads of doggy pics downloaded them onto my picture files so far so good,but when I try to post them ( not just on this sight )I wait a while and it seems to time out with the message unable to display this webpage any help would be appreciated.Bill.

I think you need to host the pictures on something like 'Photobucket' or 'Flikr', then the link to the image is used in your post on here.

Hosting and posting are different things.

Sometimes it's quicker to find something already online that looks close. Is this near enough?

Not sure if I am reading this right... Are you trying to upload to PH using the "Upload an image (beta)" link?


In which case, your photo files - what extension are they; i.e. what format are the pics?

Your new camera might be outputting proprietary files or tiff format, when the sites you are using only "accept/understand" jpeg.


(Other than that I wouldn't know about your dogging pics.....)

Had a disscusion with boss in work about who had the bigger dog, (bragging rights) boxer vs akita, i have the akita, so shown him that exact page 2 days ago so remembered that pic mate, no offence intended from a new boy ; )
