Very sad. The lease on my 6 series convertible expires next May & I fancied the M3 as a replacement.

Too many models out now, the Marque is losing exclusivity. I think BMW are getting it wrong.

Let's hope so, but I thought the coupe/cab M4's were not due till much later. Sooner the better, but I'm not holding my breath.

I doubt it and even if it is the discounts currently on offer will not be available.

I think I read somewhere that they are still making the M3 Convertible until November but the Coupe has certainly finished.

Its a 3 series, not a 4 series, just BMW being f'kin stupid and diluting the market.

Don't really care what they call it. I will be looking for a mid sized powerful convertible. This may well fit the bill.

Well done & congratulations. If I were able to change now I would be doing just the same

Should get the delivery date tomorrow!!! Car is quite well specked and there were not many options i didnt tick but need to decide tomorrow if i should add the EDC.

From reading on here either people are 100% for or 100% against and im just not sure i would really use it much if at all.

SO excited, not sure i can wait till Sept.

When launched most road testers said EDC was a must have & I clearly got sucked in as I had to have it on mine, but by all accounts the stock M3 rides well anyway, but it is nice having the option the flick between the three settings but its personal preference, comfort is great & if I am pushing on I use normal as I find sport a little too hard on bumpy back roads.

You are entitled to be excited as they are a cracking motor & the very last traditional M Car.

I am very much in the pro EDC camp.

I would have thought that for a convertible, the ability to put EDC into 'soft' mode is of greater benefit than for a coupe or saloon.

I use my M3 convertible on comfort setting most of the time when in traffic and use normal with the M mode for pressing on, sport a bit too stiff for pot-holed roads where I live but fine on fast smooth roads, so generally think it is worth having. My car was also dealer fitted with the M performance exhaust at delivery, which helps with both warranty & insurance as it's not treated as an aftermarket fitment, highly recommend it, noise is something else compared to standard exhaust, both top up and down. Quite loud at start-up though for first 30 seconds or so before engine settles into idle, so if leaving quietly is your thing, probably best avoided.

Are there many deals left on M3 cabs at the moment? In the last 48 hours I've had my M5 written off but my insurer has come up trumps and resolved the payout against it, leaving me ready to pull the trigger on a new car.

I remember looking at M3's a few weeks back and saw a couple of brokers with deals around the £440pcm 6/23 range, having looked again the prices are now closer to £600pcm.

Gutted, dealer called yesterday. Thought it was to give me the delivery date but the factory said there are no build slots left so no new car!

To make it worse he found a similar alternative with another dealer (dont know where) but they wont let him have the car unless they have one to exchange so looks like i won't be getting a newe BMW!

Why not go to the other dealer & buy there?
