16" estorils on the front

I have bought some 16" estorils that were on the rear of a chim to fit on the front of my griff. Is it that simple or do I need spacers or anything else I need to consider? I will get the geo done once they are fitted.

They should just fit straight on.
16" all round are standard on the SE cars and I know a 500 owner who bought and fitted a set of rears to the front without issue so he could then do a bigger brake conversion.

Did this on mine a few years back, no need for anything if the steering rack is central when fitted. Mine just needed a single rack stop on the offside to stop the inner edge of the rim catching on the lower suspension arm.

Definitely reduced understeer and reduced tramliningin my experience.

ETA Nice to chat at the Growl on Saturday, looking forward to receiving the article on the car once it's finished, it'll be interesting to see the solution for the new inlet arrangement.

- yes good to meet up and put a face to names - I think I will book myself in next year and get to know the crowd over a gallon or two! Still work in progress and no more pics posted until its done. I will get in touch as soon as the rolling road session has been done.

Just had a look at their website, they do make some beauties but could not get prices to work - probably just as well!

Ian, it's one of the best mods I've done to my car, you've already bought the wheels so get them fitted and see what you think. If you don't like them then go back to the 15s and sell the 16s you'll have no problem selling them.

Thing is you won't want to.

Ok - time to man up and stop worrying. I will order today and see how I get on. Rack stops, non centric hub spacers, ET and so on is just to much for my simple mind....but if it doesn't work out I guess there is plenty of help out there!!

Not yet, back to work now so will be August. To be honest it feels much better having driven it a bit more since fitting them, plus I think I'm badly in need of a full geo...

You don't need spacers and you might not need rackstops either.

Ok Tyres and wheels fitted and have a very slight rub on passenger side on full lock anticlock wise. I am guessing this will get worse when I lower the car during the geo set up. So excuse my ignorance but is it spacers or rack stops that I need?
