honeymoon road trip advice
Discussion
Lucky me is getting married in a month
, and for a honeymoon me and the missus plan to take my Ferrari 308 on a road trip. The motor is at the garage getting serviced and prepped now.
The planned route is kind of rough and we want to book hotels this week, so I'm after a bit of advice from PH'ers who might've done this sort of thing before. I've driven through Belgium and northern France, but not further afield.
The tour will start in Oudenaarde, Flanders, where the wedding will be (the missus is Belgian). I'll drive the car over from England. Then we plan on going through Germany for an autobahn blast, then it's down through Switzerland and the Stelvio Pass into Italy. In Italy we plan to visit Venice, Verona, Modena and Florence. Then we'll head back to Belgium via France. We have 2 weeks. Any tips on places to stay and roads to take?
Cheers

Sounds like a great honeymoon, all the best with the wedding.
Here is a link to write ups of Euro road trips that people have done, should give you plenty of ideas.

If driving to or from Aosta, take a look at Cascina Moncrava, Ivrea, which you'll find via booking.com :

I stayed there last year and found it ideal if you want somewhere that is very quiet and run by a very friendly italian family. Lots of pictures on the website.
