Well the sun is shining & my 996 C2 Coupe has just been in for her MoT & major service, also had a rear coffin arm changed.

For the 3rd year on the trot she has flown through the MoT with just a couple of advisories, both consumables, rear brakes & rear tyres.

Just out of interest, what sort of mileage are people seeing from Michelin PS2's on the rear? Mine have done approx. 6k & are low enough to be an MoT advisory.

Thought I'd share some good news for a change, apologies to the IMS/RMS/Bore scoring/D chunking doom merchants out there

The rear tyres, are they worn evenly across the width on both tyres?

My Michelin pilot sports lasted about seven to eight thousand miles on the rear of my 996 c4s. They were more worn on the inside edges.

Same for my C4S, they have lasted 8000 but i have a nail in the left hand rear so changing both tomorrow. They passed the MOT last week but were close to limit.

I'm shopping for a new pir of rears after 12k miles, I am fairly gentle on them though.. (Falken 452)

Having heard good things about the 452's I was thinking of switching to those next time but as the fronts & rears will not be replaced at the same time I'm thinking it will be better to stick with the (dearer) PS2's.
