The only bit of my 2013 Defender I dislike so far is the plastic diesel cap. Has anyone ever found a beautifully made metal replacement?

I use a Defendoor cover on mine, it keeps the cap from being encased in gloop and mud when playing in the mud.

This looks like a good idea, but I am concerned that it will come off on the motorway....! How well does it stay in place?

Thanks for the cover suggestion. It's the actual cap I dislike. I swapped a Ferrari with a beautifully engineered aluminium filler cap which was lovely to use - something that happened quite often. The Defender does 25mpg but has that cheapo plasticky cap which makes it a worse experience filling up.

When you find an alternative might I have your old one? I managed to lose mine and have a push in temporary one.

I can't remember how a Defender filler attaches to the body but you could probably replace it with an aircraft style one.

Cheap skate! They're only £8.50.
