Factory open day

Factory open day is almost upon us - Sunday 4th August.

Sods law..... I spend 2yrs building the car and I can't make the open day as it clashes with the Wilton House Classic & Supercar show! If I hadn't got a place in the supercar run & display, I'd have sacked it off. Oh well, next yr I guess.

I say should, my wife is ill at the moment and if she gets any worse then my plans will change.

I'm not sure if 2 cars count as a convoy but I'm collecting a mate just south of Croydon so should be back on the M25 about 9.30ish and heading clockwise. Where would be convenient?

Last year's drive home was not pleasant.


If we meet up at Newport Pagnell Services would probably suit most.

You are not allowed to lead as my car won't go that slow in top gear............

We may need a second convoy for Can-Am drivers.......maybe leaving Newport Pagnell an hour before the GTR's so that we all arrive at the Factory at the same time!

What time would suit others?

Not far from you. I am coming from Esher near junction 9 of M25.

Does anyone know of a more interesting route up there rather than the motorways?

I'll be joining the M25 at Junction 6, but I'll be setting off early (about 8 am) because I'll have to leave the factory early afternoon.

I'm happy to join a convoy, weather permitting same as Paul as Iv also experienced an Ultima in pouring rain and lots of aquaplaning, Paul if you lead can I go ahead with the can am's as id like to keep my licence!

I do not drive like a lunatic nor do I wish to lose my licence. I am fairly sensible and avoid risks especially in built up areas.

The open road with risks calculated is another matter!!!

Looking forward to comming over in the can am weather permitting must warn you all though the fan on the rear mesh is a tempory measure while I get sorted as getting a lot off stagnant air under clam while sat in traffic jams n the fan seems to work
