Contracting in Oil and Gas?
Discussion
I'm currently an IT contractor, so I want to make sure I have a wide base of potential clients. Oil and Gas is something I think I may be suited to for the following reasons;
1. My career started with 8 years as an Engineer in the Royal Navy.
2. I did a further 8 years in Facilities Management and Building Sevices Engineering (maintenance etc)
3. My IT career has been 5 years in 3rd line support (manager) and 5 years as a Senior Business Analyst, with the last 2 contracting. Its mostly been Maintenance Engineering systems on Oracle, but plently of general BA type work.
Does that sould like someone who could break into Oil and Gas? If so where do I start?
My current contact has at least 6 months to run, so plently of time to consider my options
