LIEGE-BRESCIA-LIEGE 2013 Rally
Discussion
I have started a thread on the tvr general events forum as we are the only classic entry (pre 80s) there will be others that will be interested as well Graham will be receiving daily updates and will post them there and maybe someone will be kind enough to put a link here to that thread as I don't know how to.
Fingers crossed we don't let the Classics side down and we have no break downs.

I thought it added to the 70s look without going the whole hog and wearing loud shirts with big collars and bell bottom jeans and wedge high heal shoes LOL as driving in those shoes we used to wear would have been a challenge.
look forward to maybe seeing you in September.

Graham has updated the events thread tonight
We have a 180 miles tomorrow with another higher pass as well so should be fun if we can repeat sundays drive that would be great.
Then we where second to sign out and overtook the Cam in the first few miles but fully expected some of the others to catch us up early however it never happened and we stayed the lead car for 100 plus miles on the mountain passes until we stopped for lunch.
And it was a good 20min before the next car went passed as we ate our lunch.
Not bad for a 35year old girl she did herself proud.
Fingers crossed for a repeat tomorrow.

Well yesterday as you will see on the event forum was a great day we did have the car Die on the way up the Stelvio however once we leaned off the fuel mixture she sailed right up.
we have left the fuel as is for today as we are going back up in the other direction however just started her before breakfast and a bit lumpy at that mixture when cold so may need to reconcider as we have 60 miles or so before we go up the mountains.
currently we have one car that has dropped out due to cluctch failure and the car is heading back to the uk and the are now in a micro car (fiat 500) so very relavent for this event maybe they can create a new class.
the other Tuscan has the rear shocks gone so driving a bouncy castle unless they can find replacments the Griff has intermitent cluch problems but nursing it well and one of the others had a alternator burn out and they have been running on battery power with the RAC boys feeding them with fresh batteries when needed however a new Alternator arrived last night from England so now fitted so should be all good for today.
Thanks to Graham for doiny the updates as posting pictures i cant do from here.
The trip has been fantastic and dont want it to end parts of the world i have never seen.
However without the Patience and skill of Franks Navigation we would be far down the field have not checked but we are at least 3rd overall as the Tuscan that dropped out was in the lead will find out later and let Graham know
In the Square last night the comments from some of the Italians to the Engine Bay was Chromium Bella Bella so that was nice to hear but sadly does not make it go any faster LOL
Well all for now as we are off to the Mila Mila Museum before we sign out for todays leg the are opening at 9am just for us so we will have a nice hour to see everything

Another great day Graham will post some pictures on the events forum.
We re traced yesterdays route and both peaks where far easier than yesterday.
We are currently in second place behind the rented Chimaera with Toad of Toad hall ??? Driving and did the event last year in there E Type so a slight advantage as they should know locations of check point??.
Short but complicated route tomorrow with lots of check points and tight time gaps so will see how we go Franks Skill will be needed badly.
More tomorrow

Well all over and home safe I have done a final bit on the events forum if you want to catch up.
The Biggest thanks has to go to Martin for designing and building such great and fun cars the roads we where on where fantastic and nearly 3000 miles in 12 days with very few issues other than Driver related ie The Fan issue and the loss of brakes on the way down where I was working them far to hard but great fun and we stopped safely and they cooled down and came back as we ate some lunch.
So a real credit to the Blackpool boys of the 70s.
