My Griffith roof leaks! It's the join at the back of the roof panel where it meets the foldy-downy-bit.
I plan to treat the roof with Renovo pretty soon (I've already got the colour restorer, need to get the waterproofer too). Is this likely to sort this if I paint it right on the joints? Anyone else had/fixed this?
Also, where can I get Renovo waterproofer? I got the colour restorer from the previous owner when I bought the car. Can I get it from any good motor factor shop, or mail order only?

I use Thompson's Water Seal - does the same job, and more widely available. I know it is primarily for bricks but if you read the tin it can also be used on fabrics etc.
Now I treat it every spring and late summer. No leaks.
Just make sure you get something to cover the paintwork and be careful not to splash the interior. Also do the hard bit too.
It takes about an hour and takes 24 hours to dry. I would do 2 coats if it hasn't been done previously to give it a good start.

I’ve always used the Thompson’s stuff and leak’s are a thing of the past. It’s relatively cheap and available from most DIY stores, brush it on though don’t buy the spray can.
Don’t get too hung up about splashes and/or runs, as long as these are cleaned up straight away it leaves no lasting marks. It does pong a bit for a few days though.
Cheers,
Simon.
