Another thank you to Austec

Finally got the cerb back today, still needs to go back to get some more bits and pieces done, but at least he's home
Thanks to Mike, Paul x 2 and Mark Adams (finally met him) for sorting the car out. Cant believe the difference in how he runs now, and thats even without the Mark Adams fettled ECU being fitted, which will be done next week. For the record, the invoice, while not cheap, wasnt actually as bad as I was expecting. No Mike, you cant charge me more if you read this
The rolling road findings where a bit of an eye opener, 290bhp at the wheel
Have told Mr Adams I will be using his services for the full ECU remap he is famed for some time soon.
Driving down the M23 after collecting him, car starts to splutter & surge, no power as I put the accelarator down...swearing to a halt.
Mike...WTF is going on
. He replies "How's your petrol gauge reading?" Ahh, empty, lots of appologies & embarrasment and now feel a total twonk
Fill him up with Optimax and one happy chappy again
Mike even phoned later to make sure I was OK & got to my destination. Top bloke!

Good news. I shall listen out for those sweet rumblings as Nick drives through Handcross.
And as for Austec - another "thank you Austec" from me. I picked up my car yesterday. Service, AVOs and spring and setup, and a few other fixes too. My C/Card is now dented, but cerbie can now go round corners - a definite improvement. I'm off out for a hack later to see what it can really do

Hi Nick
During your cars stay at club Austec it was bought to my attencion your car was humping anything with a TVR badge this will probabaly explain for the lack of juice.
Mike
You must learn to keep the Tivs in for fettling under control Mike. Thats the second time I've heard of cars in your care humping the others awaiting surgery

Tripps said:That was a wheel figure so quite normal, they loose over 50 bhp through the transmission.
290bhp Some work to be done then, mind you it still seems to go sweet enough
Reminds me, I must give you a call at some point as I think I should treat myself to a sports exhuast for Christmas

Just found the full graph in the car, 348bhp at the flywheel, 289bhp at the wheel. Sounds about right?
I did notice a new Optimax sign hanging above Austec's door, it's all becoming clear
Aye Peter, full service shall resume
. Are you going to join us Sunday morning? Even if it's just for the meet? (which looks like all I'll be able to manage
)
Roz, 'didnt see 'our' baby today, think one of those rascals are holding him/her/it to ransom? Thought you had visiting rights? You can look, clean & polish, but no one said you could take 'Bastard Child of the Devil' out for a spin!
Tripps, good to hear from you. Wondered why you'd been so quiet. Looking forward to seeing your new motor
