I have thought about putting a wrap on my DB9 Volante using the Gulf racing colours i.e Baby blue and Orange stripes.

I would probably drop the lipstick but leave the orange stripe on just the bonnet and boot.
Obviously not on the hood.
This will shock and awe a few members on here but it is not a permanent thing, just one of my whims.
Sorry if I am sounding weird but I just get strange ideas that I need to get out of my system.
One of the main reasons for this post is that there are some very clever Guys out there that can mock up cars with colours( I think it is called photo shopping), so would love to see how it would look with the Black roof.
p.s Been quoted £1430 for the job but would be good to get a recommended car wrapping specialist in the South Bucks area also.
Thanks in anticipation.

Are you putting on all the numbers and other stuff too or just the 2 base colours?

Could be a little bit over the top but a few of the stickers in certain discreet locations may work.

Sure we can get some feedback from the forum on that one. Have you got any bods you would recommend to do this type of work localish to me?

At least you know you`ll get the clean up job once I have got bored with it.. :0)

Sorry I only had a brief chat at Hever the other weekend but the boy had to get back for Karate so we had to leg it. Didn`t even get time to look around the Castle.

Lots of people have done it in the past, although mainly on Vantages. A Google images search for 'Aston Martin gulf livery' gives you a very good idea of what the various permutations will look like. (Although, to be fair, I've not managed to find a DB9 Volante yet...)

I know one or two of the boys on here are very good at cutting and pasting images so was hoping someone would come up with a Volante, with a black roof in the up and down positions, with the Gulf livery.

'professional'?
A rather shakey line George.
Perhaps you are anxious about the cricket. smile

I like the idea of a replica racing car, but with a Volante, it would not be a replica.

OP, don't take any notice of me. Go for it.

I was being rather sarcastic smile

Not anxious about cricket, I genuinely couldn't care less. The dullest sport there is sleep

My initial enthusiasm is on the wane slightly which is why I use this forum to make me see sense and give my impulsive nature a second chance to rethink...

How about a White wrap then??????

The Aston ethos is one of a bespoke car. Whatever the owner wants he can have. There is no right or wrong, it's simply a case of personal taste. If you want it, go for it! Look forward to seeing the result whatever it may be.
