I want to swap my old lap and diagonal harness for a 5 point. My caterham is an imperial chassis. I know its has threads in the chassis for some the eye bolts but what size is the thread?

Pretty sure they'll all be 7/16" UNF

Like he said :-)

I found a couple of mine had an 11mm fine threaded metric bolt forced into it by the previous/original builder. Very hard to tell the two apart - especially when you're frustrated.

So I had to keep the odd ones in place to keep the threads happy, and use the 7/16" NF (fine) everywhere else.

I also substituted the old grade 5 stuff with new grade 8 bolts.

I have a 4 point harness, I've just bought two crotch straps with two mounting points turning it into a 6 point over the 5. I opted for the moustache version over the V shape, which I actually currently have as the wrong one's got sent.

The standard 5 point crotch strap looks like it'd cut your sack in half if you braked hard/ went forward. A V strap looked close, a moustache, although a weird name for it, looks best to keep the crown jewels in pristine condition.

7/16 UNF thread.
