Have just been lookin at this as mine is up for some mods next year and it depends on what you've had done. All of my planned upgrades will have zero effect on my premium and that includes an ecu re-map and engine mods... (as the mods will not exceed the stated TVR standard power output, ie my car is currently running at less than what TVR state. TVR eng are apparently notorious for overstating this and the underwriters were happy to account for it).

Get it on a dyno and check the power/torque levels, if they're less than the TVR standard specs then you should be ok...as far as my insurance company (Tesco) were concerned anyway.

I checked yesterday for:

Nitrons - no impact
Brake (hoses/pads) upgrade - no impact
ECU remap - no impact (up to 285bhp - claimed TVR spec for a 450)
Airflow meter - no impact (up to 285bhp)
Sports exhaust conversion - no impact

Though I've read on here that insurance companies have an aversion to roll bars, even though it has been argued that they make the car safer. Think their argument is that if you've got a roll bar then you're admitting to driving in a manner that you believe will cause you to roll...

Try tescos, they seemed easy about most upgrades apart from the coughing fit when I mentioned trackday insurance...(after we had determined that it wasn't tractor insurance I was enquiring about!)
