What's a proper V8S worth?
Discussion
Hi Guys,
I am a complete newbie to the Blackpool rockets, but I have a chance of owning one via a part exchange. As I know so little about them, I wanted to get the general consensus for the V8S - is it a good car and what would you say a MINT one with recent body and engine rebuild is worth, assuming the history is good?
Are there things to look out for even in "good" ones?
I have looked up all the usual buying guides etc, but the V8 seems so rare I can hardly find any for sale to get a feeling of price.
I don't mind paying top money for this car if it is as good as I think, but I don't want to pay over the odds, as I may have to sell it on either later this year or next and don't want to have to take a hit!
Thanks all
James

Its all about condition, a shabby one will fetch between £6-7k, a decent one as you mention should be between £7-£10k and an immaculate top example will fetch between £10-£13k
Its all about condition, mainly the chassis, most other things are not too costly really, I had my V8S for 5 years, absolutely loved it, still miss it, you will not regret buying a V8S, most fun you can have for under £10k without a doubt. As a fun car, its better than a Chimaera or Griffith in the fun department, smiles per mile its the best car there is and Ive owned 911s, Boxters, Maserati Granturismo S etc.
If you want to know everything there is to know about the V8S, drop Andy Hills a note, he is your man.
Buy a good one and you will not regret it.
All IMHO
Cheers
Mike
