Hi All

I'm going to do a Porsche club track day at Castle Combe next week. Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay near by.

Thanks

Well it depends on your budget and preferred hotel type The Castle Inn Hotel is decent if you want to be very near the circuit. The Dog Inn is a decent pub type accommodation about 10 miles away or Best Western Tormarton if your after branded again about 9 miles away. If you are shopping at the premium end of the market then "The Manor House Hotel and Golf Club" is very very good but expensive and within the village.

Bristol, Bath and Chippenham are all within striking distance with budget and premium hotel options around 30mins by car outside rush hour.

Try "the old house at home" which is at Burton, so just 5 minutes from the circuit. I've never stayed there because I live locally, but the food is excellent.

The Jolly Huntsman Kington St. Michael its 3-4 miles from CC, have stayed there for the past 3 years, a Free House hence food and drink excellent and if your towing a rig and can't fit it in the car park then the local garage will store it securely for a few beers! Simon's the owner.

PH - I am a disappoint. The natural choice of the well-built company director would always be Whatley Manor.

For non-director types just stay in the Travelodge at Leigh Delamere services. 5 minutes from the track...
