Hi David,
We're not ignoring you, it's just that Avo's don't seem to be a very common choice here on the S forum. On the suspension Wiki, only Tom ( orange_dodo ) has them fitted, but you can get a good idea of spring rates & ride heights.
I have just swapped from 22yr old Koni's to Gaz GP8 shocks, with 450 springs front, 375 rear,
dampers 8 clicks from hard at front, 10 at rear, but the rear is a tad too soft, so going to set to same as front.
After much playing with ride heights, fronts are 175, rear 180.
Very pleased with the setup after the alpine testing
Yesterday a knowledgeable passenger commented on how good the quality of ride and roadholding was. Mind you, he's used to pootling around with Rollers, so I guess anything would be an improvement!
PS. Joe, please could you add my data to the Wiki?
And do something about your floppy rear end now that you have all the information

Sorry, missed it the first time around. All done now.
The WIKI format is a pain but I find the easiest way to do it is to click “Update This Article” and then copy (not cut!!) and paste the last line into Word and then insert the new settings. Then copy and paste your new line back underneath the last entry.
My rear end will be fixed for next year's trip

As for your "how to do it" advice, sorry but I haven't the faintest idea of what you're talking about
I'm hopeless with computers. I have enough problems with this phone, & it's only small!Good news about your rear end, radweld was definitely not the way to go.
Have you decided which shocks/springs to go for?
