Mine kept doing it and the back up battery in the siren kept sounding even when I disconnected the battery. In the end I had to let it run out of battery before I reset the alarm by reconnecting the battery while pressing the fob. The siren is now knackered though.

Wire cutters and a bucket of water.

Sorry, I know it's a bit late now...

Cheers guys, disconnected the battery and the siren in the end. Why do these sort of things have to happen in the middle of the night??? Haha!

Mine's a meta and last winter I disconnected the battery which, however I tried, set off the siren. Bloody annoying. I had to wrap the siren in old jumpers to muffle the bugger until the internal battery finally gave out. Next spring I reconnected and all was normal, well normal for my car alarm which usually allows me one alarm activate, second time always sets it wailing. furious
