Repair with epoxy resin?

If it's a thermoplastic, you could heat up the crack with a soldering iron to melt the plastic and seal the crack.

I've tried that, it works... for a few seconds. Adhesives don't stick too well to it either. The usual place they crack is around the smaller outlet stubs, because the stubs have steel liners that corrode, expand and split the plastic.

I have an alloy but was not sure it was right so hung on to my plastic just in case. Think it is time to let it go to a good home. It has a definite bend to one of the pipes, not too bad, I would not put a warranty on it. The previous plastic one went in the same area.

Edit. Thinking about it I would not want to use it to be honest, I reckon its on its way.

Edit 2. Won't be back until midnight at least today. ish.

I used leak-fix on a plastic header tank and it held for ages...
