Window operation

Hi folks , a little gremlin in the electrical dept , out in the car parked up then came back got in put window down it went up itself , after several attempts it stays down , got home shut door window goes up by its self and it sounds like the motor is still trying to push window up , opened door window doesn't drop like it should , then on trying the buttons inside the down button is ok the up button doesn't work but when I shut the door window goes up its self again , any help would be appreciated guys

The chrome switch cover has come away from the "up" button which is currently semi-permanently depressed. Unfortunately to get at the window switches you need to take the radio out. I can't remember what you do next but it's reasonably obvious after that and involves some jiggling with a small screwdriver.

You might want to pull the fuse in the meantime because it will flatten the battery if the motor continues to drive against a closed window.
