TRACK DAY AT GOODWOOD ON TUE 13TH AUGUST
Discussion
Hi All,
The Hampshire region is holding a track day at Goodwood on Tuesday 13th of August. We have spaces for 30 cars in total with 17 signed up so far. The cost will be £180 which will be for a full day with over 30 laps of track time (many cars had in excess of 30 laps last time) in total spread across the day which will include instruction as required. Noise limit is 105Db and we now have our own silencers in case your noisy tiv exceeds that figure! There will be lots of TVRs and a we also have members of the Corvette Club joining us plus a few other guests. So if you want to participate in a vehicle other than a TVR you would be welcome.
Please add your name to this thread and we will get in touch to let you know payment details and to send you further information nearer the time.

Hello Steve,
If you have any places left I would be interested. I think I may need track day silencers though; what is the situation can we hire them on the day? I have a supercharged 4.0L Chim and am from the Herts & Beds Region.
I am very much a beginner and would like some instruction.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers Chas

We are aiming to get 6 cars on track for 5 lap sessions which will allow 30 laps per ticket throughout the day. So plan on 3 sessions am and 3 pm. You will be allocated a Grid Number (1 through to 6) at sign on. This also gives Goodwood to assess the noisy groups and mix them with the quieter cars. We reassess the session in the afternoon depending on progress. Last time we had an open pit lane in the afternoon.
The programme for the day will be in outline:
Time Event Remarks
a/r Arrive at Goodwood
0800 Commence Noise Testing First 3 Grids will be nominated in advance for priority testing. Noise limit is 105dB.
0845 Briefing and Sign On Noise testing will resume on completion
0900 Track familiarisation – all cars participating will be led for 3 laps behind a pace car to make the optimum use of their track time Emphasis will be on lines and turn-in points. If you are utterly familiar with the track then please say and you can sit this out. If in doubt do the familiarisation – it will pay dividends.
o/c -1230 Track is live. Grids line up in Pit Lane and in assembly area in number order
1230 Lunch. Live Track suspended. Cars will be given opportunity to form up on start finish straight for group photograph. There will only be one group photograph. Opportunity to go to Sainsbury for fuel if required.
1330 Circumnavigate track at 50mph led by Track Marshal to clear after photograph
o/c - 1700 Track live. Grids rotate through pit lane
