Hi Fella's, having my newly acquired 3R for a week and a half I was wondering what the options are for carpets? Is it possible to fill-in between the ridges then put a protective cover over the whole footwell floor? Thanks John.

Welcome - enjoy!

Noble do carpet mats that fit between the members - ie 2 mats per side. You need to know if you have narrow or wide footwells - I think the changeover is in the 3R build period? You can also get some decent quality mats off the online auction site. I've been pleased with mine. No reason you couldn't infill the floors, but not sure why you'd want to? You'd also need to maintain easy access to the fuses and relays at the end of the passenger footwell.

Dom.

How can you tell if you have narrow or wide footwells?

Cars built from very late 2004 onwards mainly. All the M400's, and the very last of the 3R's.

Not quite what OP is asking but someone on here made a neat looking filler for between the rails in which they put their CD's etc. Made storage space where there wasn't any previousy.

Hi Andy, so are the footwells narrow or wide for a 2003 3R? Any idea? cheers John.

I would say 2003 cars were narrow footwell ( as per my previous 2003/53 3R).
Very last 3R's are 2004/54 or 2005/05 for the odd one.
