After changing roles at work and reducing my commute in the process I decided it was time to get something quick!

Im from the Gran Turismo generation so something fast and Japanese was always going to be the first choice! In the end I narrowed it down to a Civic Type R.

Im not keen on the looks of the FN2 type R and the EK9, although awesome is a bit too old now so I decided my money was best placed with a decent late model EP3. After alot of searching I started to realise that there are alot of dogs out there! However this came up with 40K on the clock, full Honda service history and a few choice mods and after a viewing I bought it!

So tell us about the mods then! Looks very shiny, look after it as nighthawk black is a bugger to keep clean.

Nice looking car, you don't find many with 40k miles around nowadays.

I had an 52 plate silver one (with illegal tints!) about 5 or 6 years ago - would have another if I found a nice clean 40 k example like this.

Currently it has a Mugen Air Intake, J Performance N1 Rep, 2.5" SS mid pipe and some Mugen pedals! The car is running around 212 bhp at the fly wheel.

As for future mods I'm not sure! Maybe some Eibach springs or a fast road setup. Any suggestions?

Very nice, I had an '04 in Nighthawk Black before my current car. Just going to echo about how annoying Nighthawk Black is to keep clean as well hehe

Did it take you long to get used to the gearstick location? I remember thinking it was really odd when I got mine, but after a while it felt like it was in the perfect place.

Edit: I know a lot of people recommended a fast road setup when I had mine, never got around to it personally though.

I found the gearstick location a bit weird for the first few days, but it just seems normal now! I find its pretty easy to change gear quickly without too much effort!
