Freezing ham.. and various other foods
Discussion
Hi all
Is there any problem with freezing ham? I tend to end up chucking half the pack away usually! Could I just freeze the pack, take out what I need the night before I'm going to use it, leave it in the fridge to defrost overnight and then use it and be fine? If so, how long would be okay to freeze it for?
Will this work for other foods such as cheese? If I was to make say, cheese & ham wraps, could I freeze the wraps and eat them and be fine?
I have no idea about any of this
What other foods would your recommend for lunch that are okay for freezing? I'm on a money saving mission so I need to make food go further

I haven't found a meat or meat based product yet that isn't freezable.
Cheese(cheddar) can be frozen but when its defrosted becomes very crumbly and useless for slicing. I wouldnt try to freeze softer cheeses though.
Pasta, bread and soup are all freezable.
For inspiration go to your local supermarket and see what is in the freezers for sale and it should give you a few ideas.

Isn't that the whole point of ham?
