Pump not priming or ignition
Discussion
Yes, if it's the immobiliser assuming you have a Meta alarm. Both circuits run through the immobiliser through separate relays inside the immobiliser and based on posts on here seems a likely candidate.
Although there are a number of other items worth checking.
Inertia switch under dash (interrupts fuel pump circuit)
Supply getting to pump
Wiring loom
Fuses etc etc.

Swapping the relays didn't work for me either, one controls the ECU so you won't get any joy if one is u/s. I had the alarm/ immobiliser checked that was aok. After trawling through loads of stuff on PH I eventually borrowed a relay off my Griff and that did the trick. I now have spare Bosch fuel pump relays on both TVRs - cost around £12.00 on-line. Hope this helps.

Thats the 2 metal looking cubes isn't it?spend said:

pump primed fo a second then died?
Thats exactly how they all work, the pump primes it doesn't run continually until the engine starts?????2 relays i replaced approx 3 years ago again??
Hi Chimv8
Very similar symptoms to mine recently. Without going into every detail I did connect 12v direclty to the solonoid and also used a multimeter under the dash to prove the immobiliser was OK . It appeared at the time it was the connection to the solonoid. It failed again next day and I finally proved the problem by connecting a different battery via jump leads and indeed it was a faulty battery. It didnt appear to be at first and it is so easy to jump in too deep , what with all of the imoobiliser problems recently discussed on hear. You have to check the basics first although I thought I had at the time.
New Bosch battery from Ebay for £65 delivered and all is well again. and with a 4 year warranty.
Good Luck

No,i know it doesnt constantly run but died with in half a second of priming, then wouldnt prime again or ignition start the engine?

It wont run after the initial prime (blip) until the engine is running. If you are not starting there is likely some other problem & the fuel pump will run once the engine has started... The ecu controls the pump based on the info it gets about rpm from the dizzy (consider your ignition ((sparks)) are at fault).2 relays i replaced approx 3 years ago again??

If i running bump start will she go,and will this possibly clear the issue,as havnt moved for a few weeks?

Doubt it....If i running bump start will she go,and will this possibly clear the issue,as havnt moved for a few weeks?
If you have no sparks (amp, coil..) the engine will not run... & until it reaches @500rpm the ecu will not turn on the fuel pump.
If your starter is spinning the engine healthily then check your sparks are reaching the engine and you'll likely find thats' the problem ~ the fuel pump is just a secondary consequence & if it primes is 99% certain that its OK.
I'm confused, it no longer primes at all? I can make my pump prime as many times as I want by turning the ignition all the way off and then back on again, if you can't do that then I would have thought that fueling is your problem, unless my one is unusual... or is your starter motor not spinning too?
Does the engine crank at all?
The immobiliser problem with the starter motor can be tested for (assuming the immobiliser starter relay is not totally shot) by holding the key in the start position and slapping the underside of the passenger dash.
The theory being that the slapping is enough to encourage the relay to close and allow the engine to turn over and start.
If the engine starts them you've probably got a faulty immobiliser.

You're confused..Key turn
Ignition lights come on
Press imobiliser button
No fuel pump priming
Turn key to start
No ignition
So no engine turnover at all?
- I'm only posting here because I have a need to understand the system for when I end up stranded

Looking at the spec it's only a boggo two circuit thatcham thing so bypassing those two things would let it start, you should still be getting a spark because it doesn't cut ecu power.
