3.8RS or a 360CS?
Discussion
CS can't hold a candle to any GT3 imo for feel, feedback and the sheer depth of the chassis and driving experience.
But then if you want noise, looks, theatre, sense of occasion, then the CS holds all the aces.
Very different cars IMO appealing to different sorts of owners. Totally up to you.
Whats your intended usage as well ? RS will do 12 trackdays a year standing on its head, CS isnt even a real trackday car IMO.
But then if you want noise, looks, theatre, sense of occasion, then the CS holds all the aces.

Yup, think you have nailed it there. Am getting slightly frustrated with precious vs robust! Also want some cash to further fund my racing.....But then if you want noise, looks, theatre, sense of occasion, then the CS holds all the aces.

I have a Strad and come from a 997.1 GT3RS - I don't find the Strad less stronger or less reliable than the RS was. Running a RS if you track it a lot is probably as expensive as the Strad.
In 2011 I did 7 trackdays with my RS and did spend something close to 750£ in average per trackday maintenance (incl tyres and pads)
Noise wise got to admit the Strad sounds a lot better, but getting her on UK tracks is close to impossible!!! Even on our beautiful UK F1 track they wouldn't allow it...I was well over 105dB
When I did get the Strad on track however, I did find it as entertaining as the RS, and had probably even more fun as it was the loudest car out there
Tough decision, try to get behind the wheel of a 3.8 back to back, that's the only try way to decide. I wouldn't listen to what's at people say here, some have never owned one nor driven a Strad long enough to compare it...or. 3.8 as a matter of fact.

Thanks, did manage to get onto Silverstone, but was asked to tone it down a bit... Driving a 3.8RS tomorrowIn 2011 I did 7 trackdays with my RS and did spend something close to 750£ in average per trackday maintenance (incl tyres and pads)

How many track days have you done in the last, ooh, three years?
Just asking

To be fair to the CS at least it has a purity about it, unlike many of the later Ferrari offerings which are chock full of computers.
Same old dichotomy ... driving vs. attention seeking. Just name your poison.
Every time a CS thread appears so do you.Same old dichotomy ... driving vs. attention seeking. Just name your poison.
But you're not seeking attention
