For some reason that I'm not too sure about, we are heading to Liverpool on Saturday. Where is recommended for eating.

Thinking late lunch/early dinner, either good pub food, or maybe French.

My only plan so far is a pit stop at the Ship and Mitre.

This place is nice with loads of really good beers and a great atmosphere, funnily enough there is a French restaurant directly opposite!

Some pretty bad planning on my part meant we couldn't get into the hub, or the salt house tapas. Ended up in the Hannover Brasserie. Decent food, but service was a bit plop. Waitress stood behind me waiting for me to finish my starter, and we generally felt rushed to finish, until we had finished, then there was no rush at all.
