Hi,

Very new to Aston Martin ownership coming from a 911, incredible just how differently other road goers 'behave' when they see an Aston...

Totally hooked and don't know why I did not buy one before...

I have had to fit a QuickSilver Exhaust, I wanted a little more sound as I love the sound of a V8, I am also 'lucky' enough to have TVR 500 Griffith which sounds awesome...

To the wheels, mine are currently anthracite and was thinking about Black Chrome or Flash Chrome

I found a company on the web who have a local franchise, really helpful and even up for trying one wheel to see if it works for me, they also explained the difference with Black, Flash & Smoke Chrome and had example wheels to take a closer look.

Their explanation of the different 'Chromes':

Black Chrome – This consists of a black powder coat base, with silver sprayed over the face only. Leaving the insides of the spokes still very dark.

Flash Chrome – This consists of a Black Powder coat base, with silver ‘flashed’ over the spokes. Leaving most of the wheel black with the face of the spokes in silver.

Smoked Chrome – This consists of a black powder coat base, with silver very lightly sprayed over the face to give a Smokey effect.

Wheel Specialists get some good feedback

I had smoked chrome on an old car
Keeping the back of the wheel black makes it much easier to keep looking clean

Once mines out of warranty I'm going to redo mine
