Have been keeping Nob in Permabag while messing around with other project, however every time I open the bag there is a really strong smell of fuel, I have extended the fuel breather pipe to outside the bag but, it still smells. Looked around the pump, pipes injectors, underneath car etc... cant see any obvious leaks.

Could it vent fuel vapor from the cap or anywhere else ?

Are there any places / things I should be checking ?

Any body else experienced the same thing i.e. should this be expected ?

Tighten up the filler cap nut so it's tight once you have the lever down. Mine used to stink out the garage until i did this.

Cheers

The fuel supply from the tank as standard tends to leak badly at the rubber connections on the 180 bend just inside the triangle access point in the floor, have a look there, then just check hoses between tank and pump as that's where it'll be. The breather pipe may let some fumes out but I wouldn't think it would be a strong smell from that.
