There you go. Avoid eBay like a John Barrowman concert.

For less than £8,000 you're looking at decent project territory these days. The country is in the middle of the worst economic depression since the second World War and the classic market especially the eco-classic market has gone nuts.
£5,000 may get a decent 126 at the moment but the time you could get a concourse 500 for less than £8,000 are long gone.

Very untrue. I am not a total beginner in fiat 500. Got one 7 years and drove 40k km in it. A guy in kent restaures them and i just turned down a concourse F for just over £7k just bc of colour (light blue).£5,000 may get a decent 126 at the moment but the time you could get a concourse 500 for less than £8,000 are long gone.
An L would be cheaper.
An N or D would be dearer.
I want white (or cream) or dark blue. An L or an F.
I will fit 600cc and syncro box anyway. But don't want to have to restaure it. It has to be already done.
I just see nothing i like at mom. Happy to pay up (a bit) for the right car but am picky.

Agreed. I traded my concours std restored N with new lightly modified 650 engine/synchro box/front disc setup for £10k to a dealer last year. He then sold it on for £12k within a couple of weeks. Although these cars can still be resonably cheap to buy, to restore one will cost over £10k if you include a new mechanicals.£5,000 may get a decent 126 at the moment but the time you could get a concourse 500 for less than £8,000 are long gone.

I don't know your location but there is a garage in Blundell Street,London N7 with
a load of 500s outside.
Some are resto projects, some are scruffy.
Can't remember garage name but it's not a long street so easy enough to find, you want the end
near to the prison.......
That will be Proietti I used to use them when I was in London.a load of 500s outside.

I don't think English is the OPs first language.
The car in his profile has foreign plates on it.
I have lived in London 15 years. My english is good enough... Trust me...The car in his profile has foreign plates on it.

Fiat 500L bought from italy. It is like a new car. Was not cheap but worth spending more for the right car.
Paul at signature automobile in kent helped me throughout. Great chap.
Nova was simplr-ish. Just need all the right docs. Dvla required 2 attempts. We got there in the end.
Toughest part is finding a good car.
