Wide arse side pods / scoops

I have been harping on about wide arse side pods for years now and nobody has made a set apart from Hoover

I have modified a set of m400 pods so they fit a bit wider







My dad has quite a bit of Aerodynamic expertise, we did some numbers and the gain is worth the effort

the extension strip is a piece of plastic bent into place with a heat gun. I tacked it on a with a glue gun and then attached with several layers of glassfibre

I will probably attach with some strips of ally for belt and braces - don't want them flying off at speed !

I am thinking spraying them black after they have been finished - should go with the black rims / wing ends / cannards / splitter

has anyone got any pics showing the material cut away inside ?

did you bond them on or screw them on

Ive been thinking about doing this. How will you attach them to the body, bonding agent or bolted?

i have bonded some metal tabs on and will bond and screw it on once i have filled and smoothed it

they make the stock ones look a little tame !

they are in the garage waiting for a coat of primer and then i have to decide if i go black or body colour

they do look the business - much more aggressive looking
